You can’t do it alone. No matter how much insight you may gain from reading the Lectures, we have found that a partnership with another person who can help you see your faults and your beauty is essential. That person is the Pathwork Helper. While we all support each other in process groups, the helper-worker relationship is a one-on-one partnership. Generally, Pathworkers have sessions with helpers once a month. There is no set fee – helpers charge what they believe is fair and appropriate, and helpers in training give their services for free.
Pathwork helpers may or may not be trained therapists. Mental illness is often characterized by a refusal or inability to take responsibility for one's life -- for routine functioning as a productive person. The Pathwork rests on a foundation of having the willingness and capability to tackle one's personal problems. A trained therapist is the right person to tackle serious personality disorders or symptoms of mental illness. These helpers have joined a new program to give sessions for an introductory period of three months for $25 per session. We encourage you to contact one or more of them and talk about your spiritual needs. Irene Koenig (Connecticut) — Irene has been a Pathwork Helper since 1991 and a Core Energetic Practitioner since 2002,on the staff of the NYRegion Pathwork as well as the Institute of Core Energetics. Irene has led weekends of prayer & meditation and teachers in the Helpership Development Program for the NYRegion Pathwork. Maria Krekeler (California) — Maria is the former President and Executive Director of the Pathwork of California. She integrates her trainings in Trauma Healing, Hakomi and NLP with the Pathwork. Janet Sharp (New Paltz) — A Pathwork helper since 2001, Janet was a Teacher for 30 years. A breast cancer survivor, she currently leads breast cancer support groups. Judy Damron (Kingston) — A Pathwork Helper for 25 years, Judy is a psychotherapist originally from Boston. Adrienne Lubeau (Manhattan) — A co-founder of the New York Region, and Pathwork worldwide, Adrienne trained with Eva Pierrakos and developed the first Core Energetics curriculum with John Pierrakos.
